WAVE GOODBYE.

Today, I removed all past versions of CHRSWLKRVS from the internet and did so with a feeling of relief. I’m not sure why. Those sites contained a lot of work I think I’m still proud of, especially the food related posts and the band interviews. Nevertheless, they’re gone. Maybe one day I’ll collect all the pieces I thought were important and compile them somewhere, but not anytime soon.

This version may be the next to go. I don’t think I care about maintaining it. I don’t really have much to say with written words anymore, at least not right now, and to just use this place as an outlet to express how excited I am about paddle boarding? Really, who cares? Shut up.

Yesterday, I saw these old pictures of myself, like at 12 and 17 and I thought, where did the time go? Where did that guy go? How different everything was. I wrote a lot then too, words and ideas have always been coming out of my fingers, but there were no blogs or tumblrs or wordpresses to put them on. Only paper, and I only shared what I’d created with those who mattered, trying to perfect everything before attempting to share anything with the world.

I’m not entirely sure what I’m getting at, but I’m done here for now. I’ve got other things to do, other places to go, other mediums to pursue. It feels good to leave it behind. Hilariously enough, the actual CHRSWLKRVS domain, the one that a graphic designer former-friend butchered to the point of obsolesce, is now some kind of bizarre spam site.

In a way, it seems like a fitting end.
